Wakulla County officials warned holiday travelers that they should get to the airport at least one hour early in order to be sure not to miss their flight. The airport officials have spent the last few weeks preparing for the crush of travelers. As evident by the freshly mowed tarmac. The bulb on the landing/takeoff light pictured above has been replaced.
There was a delay in departure of flight 234b2 due to some mechanical updates and....
....to give the locals time to get it down from the tree.
We did not mind the wait, but we were getting hungry and kinda looking forward to the acclaimed in flight meal.....
....one per person!
Our flight seemed to be just a little late but it was hard to read the flight times board at first..
Oh well, off to the gate...
We were very glad to be here on time as we understood trying to find a parking space may delay us a bit...we did notice on the way in that the parking area was close to being full...
....we were glad to to get one of the last parking spaces, if not, we would have had to go across the street to Hanks cow farm to find a space, that in itself could have been an issue...
Now I can prepare for the cramped seats...
Alright folks, I am through with my little tongue and cheek micro blog on the Wakulla airport. all of the above is not true, none of it. Just having a little fun here on Thanksgiving.
I hope all of you have a great holiday with family and friends. In the mean time, check back often for more serous blog posts....until then I really do have to catch a flight...I will see y'all later!!!
